The Cairo International Technology Exhibition and Conference for the Middle East and Africa (Cairo ICT) hosted a high-level appreciation and recognition event honouring its strategic partners, including government entities represented by ministers, as well as sponsors and exhibitors who participated in its 29th edition, in recognition of their pivotal role in supporting the exhibition’s journey and ensuring its continuity as the region’s leading platform for telecommunications, information technology, and digital transformation for nearly three decades.
The event was attended by seven ministers, alongside a distinguished gathering of senior government officials, executive leaders, and representatives of major local and international institutions, underscoring Cairo ICT’s growing national and regional influence.
The official start of the 30th edition of Cairo ICT was announced during the ceremony. Which is scheduled to take place from November 8 to 11, 2026, and will be based on the theme “AI in Action.” The event also saw the announcement of the fifth International Cybersecurity and Information Security Exhibition and Conference (CAISEC’26), which will take place on June 8 and 9, 2026.
The event was held to honour the 29th edition of Cairo ICT, which was a big deal in the history of the exhibition. The event drew 161,000 people, hosted 580 businesses and organisations from 17 countries, had 120 high-level panel discussions with over 550 speakers, saw the signing of 30 memorandums of understanding, and ended with the announcement of 40 strategic recommendations to help the future of several economic sectors.
Cairo ICT has grown more than ever before in both size and impact over the past decade, especially between 2015 and 2025. Visitor numbers have gone up by more than 112%, and exhibitor participation has gone up by 92%. This steady growth firmly establishes Cairo ICT as the region’s largest integrated technology platform. It does more than just show off new technologies; it also serves as a strategic hub that connects government, the private sector, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs. It also strengthens the idea that technology is a key driver of overall economic growth.
The change from “AI Everywhere” to “AI in Action” for this year’s 30th edition shows how Cairo ICT’s vision has changed. Instead of just looking at ideas and trends, the focus is now on making artificial intelligence and advanced technologies work in the real world. This change shows that the exhibition is dedicated to making the most of technology’s real-world effects on improving services, increasing productivity, making sectors more efficient, and speeding up the growth of the digital economy.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information
Technology; Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Ahmed
Kouchouk , Minister of Finance; Dr. Sameh El-Hefny , Minister of Civil Aviation; Mohamed Abdel
Latif , Minister of Education and Technical Education; Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and

In this context, Ossama Kamal, Chairman & CEO of TradeFairs International – the organizing company- of Cairo ICT, expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his continued patronage of the exhibition since 2015, as well as to Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, and Dr Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and all strategic partners and sponsors whose contributions have been instrumental in the exhibition’s sustained success and growth in a manner that reflects Egypt’s stature and the significance of its national technology exhibition.
Kamal added:
“Over the past years, Cairo ICT has witnessed remarkable expansion through the launch of a comprehensive portfolio of specialised technology exhibitions held within its framework—most notably PAFIX , the Payments Technology Exhibition and Conference, now in its 12th consecutive edition; Connecta , the youth-focused technology exhibition, which has attracted more than 62,000 young participants; and AIDC , the Artificial Intelligence and Data Centers Exhibition and Conference, which achieved notable international distinction in its second edition. This growth reflects the exhibition’s transformation into a fully integrated strategic platform with far-reaching economic impact.”
In recognition of its regional and international influence, Cairo ICT was awarded the “Most Influential Technology and Innovation Exhibition and Conference in the Middle East and Africa” by Global Brands, reaffirming its leadership position and sustained role in shaping the future of the technology and innovation ecosystem.
The announcement of the 30th edition of Cairo ICT 2026 under the theme “AI in Action” marks a new chapter in the exhibition’s journey, reinforcing its role as a strategic platform that turns vision into execution and drives a more competitive and sustainable digital economy regionally.
